ABOUT suzanne

Calm, experienced guidance for older adults and families

Helping older adults and families navigate change is work I take seriously. Later-life moves often involve more than logistics — they require sensitivity, judgement, and the ability to move at the right pace when decisions feel emotionally loaded.

My approach is shaped by personal experience as well as professional background. When my own parents moved home while I was working in London and was unable to be closely involved, I saw first-hand how difficult that transition can be without calm, informed support. That experience led me to create Dorset Move Management — a service designed to make moving clearer, steadier, and more manageable, particularly later in life.

Before founding Dorset Move Management, I spent over 20 years in professional environments managing complex projects, people, and deadlines. Those skills now sit quietly behind every move I support — helping families approach downsizing, decluttering, and moving in a structured, unhurried way that reduces stress and avoids last-minute decisions.

My understanding of property began early. Growing up in Worcester, I worked weekends for my father, a long-established estate agent. Being around property conversations from a young age has given me a practical grasp of transactions, timelines, and the pressures involved — insight I now use to anticipate issues and keep moves progressing smoothly.

Independent, trusted, and accountable

Dorset Move Management is entirely independent. I do not accept commissions, referral fees, or incentives from charities, auction houses, removals firms, or other providers. Any recommendations I make are based solely on what is right for you and your circumstances.

Since establishing the business, I have overseen more than 28 moves across Dorset. That hands-on experience, combined with my NASMM training, APDO and NASMM -aligned standards, and calm, practical approach, allows clients and families to feel confident that nothing important is being overlooked.

For reassurance and transparency, I am fully insured, DBS checked, and ICO registered.

Whether you are downsizing, planning a move, or supporting a parent through change, I offer clear guidance, careful pacing, and a thoughtful approach — always tailored to the individual and their family.
